We are searching for a spray-painting assistant who is able and prepared to perform paint preparation and apply primer as necessary.

The successful candidate will also be required from time to time to assist in other areas of manufacturing when necessary.

Qualifications & experience

• Must have experience prepping and working in 2 Pac paint shop.
• Be a team player who is keen and willing to learn.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Measuring in jobs.
• Wrapping finished jobs.
• Ordering paints and materials. 
• Sanding and undercoating.
• Preparing and masking completed vehicle bodies.
• Maintaining a clean workshop and equipment.
• Loading and unloading materials.
• Working as part of a team.

Mergent Group is excited to partner with a leading motor body building service based in the northern suburbs of Adelaide. Specialising in truck body building, they are seeking an enthusiastic Industrial Spray Painter to join their expanding team of skilled professionals.

Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Spray Painter who takes pride in their craftsmanship. You will be responsible for the preparation, spray painting, repairs, and touch-ups on truck bodies, trays, trailers, and accessories. Preference will be given to trade-qualified applicants with relevant industry experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out painting, sanding, priming, sealing, and patching as needed.
• Maintain the paint booth, including cleaning the area, replacing extraction filters, and cleaning painting equipment.
• Keep an up-to-date MSDS file for all products in use.
• Ensure the safe storage of all paint materials.
• Manage ordering of supplies and maintain stock levels in the paint booth.
• Use appropriate safety equipment as per MSDS guidelines and WHS legislation.
• Follow detailed job sheets and instructions.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
