Office Administrator – Recruitment & HR Support

Mergent Group is looking for a highly organised, energetic and detail-oriented Office Administrator to join our growing team in a full-time capacity.
This is more than a traditional office administration position. It is a varied, hands-on role offering exposure to recruitment, human resources, workforce mobilisation and business operations.
Working closely with an experienced team and respected industry leaders, you will receive practical guidance and mentoring while developing valuable professional skills. As your capabilities grow, you will have opportunities to take greater ownership of processes, contribute ideas and play a meaningful role in the continued growth of the business.
About the role:
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing day-to-day office and administrative support
- Answering inbound calls and responding to general enquiries
- Welcoming clients, candidates and other visitors
- Managing office supplies and inventory
- Following up with clients, suppliers and service providers when required
- Assisting with the preparation of reports
- Coordinating social media content and job advertisements
- Maintaining recruitment and HR systems and databases, ensuring records remain accurate, compliant and up to date
- Supporting the onboarding of Mergent Group’s labour-hire employees
- Coordinating candidate mobilisation requirements, including pre-employment medicals
- Guiding candidates through the onboarding process and responding to their queries
- Identifying opportunities to make recruitment and administrative processes more efficient and effective
- Providing broader administrative support to the recruitment team

Previous experience in recruitment, HR or office administration would be valuable, but it is not essential. We are equally interested in your attitude, initiative and willingness to learn.
