About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Switchboard Electrician to join a busy workshop-based project in Ferryden Park. This role involves the assembly and installation of electrical switchboards, with opportunities for overtime throughout the project.
This is an excellent opportunity for electricians with switchboard manufacturing or industrial electrical experience who are looking for immediate work with the potential for longer-term employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and install electrical switchboards.
- Install and terminate large power and control cables.
- Complete switchboard wiring and terminations to a high standard.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
- Conduct quality workmanship while maintaining safety standards.
- Work effectively both independently and within a team environment.

About the role
You will be joining dedicated teams supporting ongoing Electrical and Instrumentation works across site.
Duties may include:
- Electrical installation and maintenance works
- Cable tray, conduit, cable supports and cabling
- Terminations and equipment connections
- Instrumentation installation and support
- Testing, fault finding and commissioning activities
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and specifications
- Supporting construction, maintenance and project execution works
- Working safely in accordance with site procedures and Australian Standards
- Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and housekeeping
These roles are ideal for experienced E&I professionals looking for ongoing FIFO work on a major mining operation, with day shifts only and a strong project pipeline.
What you’ll need
- Previous experience as an E&I Technician, Construction Electrician or Industrial Electrician
- Mining, construction, commissioning, heavy industrial or resources experience
- Current SA Electrical Workers Licence, or willingness to obtain mutual recognition
- Certificate III or IV in Instrumentation, highly regarded
- Current CPR/LVR, completed within the last 12 months
- White Card
- Australian Driver’s Licence
- National Police Clearance within 6 months, or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass a full pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen
- Working at Heights, desirable
- EWP, desirable

Qualifications/ Knowledge:
- SA electrical licence – essential
