Job Description

Mergent Group is seeking a motivated and capable Mechanical Engineer to join the team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating project programs, workflows, quality, and resources, while providing technical support across assigned engineering projects. You will work closely with Senior Project Managers to ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define project scope in collaboration with the Project Manager
• Maintain and track design programs alongside the Senior Project Engineer and Project Manager
• Deliver project engineering tasks and mentor Graduate Engineers
• Provide technical support to external stakeholders as required
• Take ownership of technical aspects across projects and proactively communicate risks and solutions

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of the NCC and relevant industry standards
• Solid experience with HVAC systems
• Proficiency in thermal and energy modelling
• Understanding of CFD analysis
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Strong computer literacy
• Good spatial awareness and problem-solving ability
• Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the HVAC industry
• Construction Industry White Card
• Current driver’s licence
• Right to work in Australia
