The Operator is responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of power stations and all associated plant and equipment. The role includes monitoring biogas systems and flares, undertaking field work, and responding to call-outs as required. Regular travel to multiple sites within the state is part of the position.

Responsibilities

Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot engines, flares, and related plant/equipment

Monitor and maintain biogas systems and flares, including well readings and minor pipeline repairs

Assist with start-up and shutdown of generator modules
-
Complete daily readings, data entry, analysis, and reporting
-
Schedule and conduct servicing and maintenance of equipment
-
Perform safety risk assessments, JSEAs, and required documentation
-
Conduct oil sampling and analyse results
-
Maintain cleanliness across facilities and well stations

Attend call-outs when rostered

Support the NSW Operations team

Ensure compliance with WHS requirements and company policies

Promote a strong safety culture
Skills
-
Mechanical aptitude
-
Troubleshooting and fault-finding
-
Experience with large engine operation and maintenance (e.g., CAT, Jenbacher, Waukesha)

Understanding of power generation

Working knowledge of SCADA and control systems
-
LV/DC electrical knowledge
-
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and cause/effect documents

Additional skills such as fabrication or welding
